Vision & Growth Strategy
MCAworks Approach
MCAworks defines “Vision” as an expression of where a company wants to go in the future. Vision is future oriented, providing real stretch versus a comfortable description of current actives. Successful vision statements are clear, simple and have memorable aspects, are enduring, unique and ownable, are motivational, speaking to the heart as well as the head, and are 100% credible to company employees and consumers alike.
MCAworks views Vision Planning differently from Strategic Planning. Vision Planning is for total companies/independent divisions, is qualitative in nature and does not focus heavily on numbers, drives detailed strategic plans, is normally an occasional event, and is driven from the top-down.
Our deliverables on a Vision project include:
- The Vision Statement: The company’s destination—where it wants to go
- Goals: Targets that stretch the company in reaching or achieving the Vision, e.g.. grow to $1 Billion in annual sales
- Strategic Imperatives: Mandatory and enduring elements of the vision, e.g., secure leadership in X Category
- Strategic Initiatives: Short-term critical elements that must be accomplished to drive the Vision and Strategic Imperatives, e.g., commercialize ABC technology, develop join venture with Company X, etc.
- Financial and Operating Implications
